Noel Asmar wins ISPA award for new Athleisure uniforms

The Noel Asmar group, a lifestyle brand specialising in uniforms for spa therapists, has been honoured in the 2019 ISPA Innovate Awards, winning for its sustainable athleisure uniforms.

Made from recycled plastic bottles, the uniforms are the brand's first foray into sustainable clothing design.

To create the fabric, reclaimed plastic bottles are crushed, pelleted, spun into a cloth and then treated with ChitoSanté, a sustainable and biodegradable fabric treatment, made from crab and shrimp shells, that makes it odor resistant, moisture wicking and anti bacterial.

Available in a range of styles and sizes, the uniforms are designed to be comfortable, durable and breathable, and can be worn during the delivery of most spa treatments.

Noel Asmar, founder of The Noel Asmar Group, said: "With its long list of functional benefits, our recycled fabric with ChitoSanté is the perfect choice for spas looking for sustainable uniform options."

"Innovation has always been the backbone of our business, so this recognition is especially gratifying. Our passion to innovate is what drives us to focus on collaboration - listening to our customers, getting their feedback and understanding their specific needs. We designe our garments with that in mind," she added.

Lynne McNees, president of ISPA, said: "As an industry, we are very fortunate to have leaders that are constantly looking for new, innovative ways to grow our industry. We are excited to recognise The Noel Asmar Group as one of this year's winners for their forward-thinking approach to use recycled fabric made from repurposed plastic bottles in their athleisure unifrom line."
